Locating and Signing Up for the Hunter Education Skills Session
If you are under 16 years of age, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Hunter Education Skills Session after passing the online portion of the Missouri Department of Conservation hunter education course.

Important! Bring a picture ID and your Hunter Education Online Course Completion Certificate to the Hunter Education Skills Session as proof of having completed the online course.

What to Expect at the Hunter Education Skills Session
This in-person Hunter Education Skills Session will be 4–6 hours, depending on the number of students attending. Activities include:
- a classroom session
- outdoor shooting
- blood trailing
- demonstrations of tree stand safety
- survival skills
At the Hunter Education Skills Session, Missouri-specific regulations are covered in detail as well as issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions.
After attending and passing the Hunter Education Skills Session portion of the Hunting education requirement, you will receive your Conservation Permit Card.
